Warren police search for missing girl with cognitive disability, mental health condition

Police are searching for a Warren girl who left her home early Thursday.

Artevia Areanna Ford has a mild cognitive disability and ADHD, and suffers from depression.

Police said Artevia was last seen walking in the area of 8 Mile Road and Sherwood Street after she left about 12:30 a.m.

She left home after she was disciplined by her mother. Police said she has never run away from home before.

The girl is described as black with black hair and brown eyes. Artevia is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. Her age was not disclosed.

She was last seen wearing a burgundy coat with a fur-lined hood, gray skirt, black and yellow loafers and a purple headband.
